CLEARLY A BETTER CHOICE

Use Invisalign to get the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted — without braces. A consultation with Dr. Nelson will explain why Invisalign is right for you. Dr. Nelson has completed hundereds of cases and is a Elite Provider of Invisalign.  Because of Dr. Nelson's expertise in Invisalign every person is a candidate for Invisalign - not every doctor can make this statement.  So Go Wireless now!

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to move your teeth instead of metal braces and wires.  Most of the time no one can tell you're wearing them. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective in treating more than one million patients.

At Trinity Orthodontics, we use the most current state-of-the-art  technology.  Dr. Nelson uses an  iTero scanner to take digitial impressions of your teeth to obtain the  highest precision "imprint" of your teeth. This new generation system for taking "molds" of your teeth (no more sticky puddy) improves treatment efficiency and the overall patient experience.

Why Invisalign?

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in our office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

How does it work?

Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to the final position that Dr. Nelson has prescribed. You'll visit our practice about once every 12 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-18 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

Attachments are used in conjunction  with the aligners to aid  in the movement of the teeth.  Attachments are small geometrically  shaped "bumps" of  tooth-colored composite that are bonded to some of the teeth.  The aligner is designed to fit tightly over  them  for enhanced tooth movement. These small attachments are used to allow the aligner to grip certain teeth tighter and move them into the correct position.

Not every tooth needs an attachment. This will depend on how severe your case is and how teeth need to be moved. During each stage of treatment, only certain teeth  can be moved. When you remove your aligner from your teeth, the attachments are almost invisible.

Below is an example of an Invisalign attachment:
